Sooooo E3 is this week (full wrap-up this weekend!) which means no game company in their right mind is going to release anything remotely resembling a triple-A title. Because when the entire community is talking about new game, you’d never want to supply them with new games. Logic! Here’s the most notable in a week of table scraps:

Marry

Rayman Origins (3DS)
I will not buy a 3DS, I will not buy a 3DS, I will not buy a 3DS. This is arguably one of the best platformers nobody has played, and if you were too rude to pick it up on any other platform then consider nabbing this charming little game. It’s Rayman before those damned Rabbids took over!

Frak

Inversion (PS3, Xbox 360)
A shooter where you can impact gravity? Well, we’ve already seen shooters where you can alter time and your environment so I guess this was bound to happen. I’ll wait and see on this one because I don’t really need ANOTHER shooter cluttering my game shelf. Might I suggest Dead Space for those of you looking for a bit of zero G combat?

Kill

Madagascar 3: The Video Game (Wii, X360, PS3, Vita, DS, 3DS)
Thank you for pointing out in the title that this is a video game otherwise I’d be mighty confused when the game didn’t serve me breakfast in bed. I would normally ignore what is sure to be the pinnacle of mediocrity, but I saw a commercial for the film that said it was better than Toy Story 3. That’s so sacrilegious that I have devoted my life to the destruction of this entire franchise.

DOWNLOADABLE BONUS ROUND!

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown (PS3, X360)
Why is it game companies feel the need to release “updates” of their fighters rather than full on sequels (I’m looking at you, Capcom). I’m not a huge fan of the Virtua Fighter series, I much prefer Tekken, but for people looking for something a bit less Street Fighter-y have a suitable alternative and with the convenience of home delivery!
