Sub Pop announces plans for Record Store Day

In case you’ve missed it the past couple years, April 16th has become National Record Store Day, in which audiophiles the nation over show some love to what’s rapidly becoming that most romanticized of establishments, the record store. Tons of bands have shown their support in the first few years by releasing single-day-only specials, ranging from B-sides to color vinyl to virtually anything else you could think of.

In advance of this year’s proceedings, Sub Pop Records has announced their lineup for one of the cooler national holidays in recent history. From an announcement made, they’ll be putting out:

Record Store Day Exclusive Releases
Fleet Foxes Helplessness Blues b/w Grown Ocean 12” (limited edition of 3000)
Lower Dens Deer Knives b/w Tangiers 7” (limited edition of 1000)
Blitzen Trapper Maybe Baby b/w Soul Singer 7” (limited edition of 1500)

They’ll also be putting out a label sampler titled Terminal Sales Vol. 4: Please to Enjoy for the occasion. For more details on Record Store Day and to find participating stores near you, head over here.
