In Chicago, the sun is finally shining. After weeks of grey, crappy weather and constant rain the sky is finally blue and birds that aren’t pigeons are singing in the trees. Though Max Burgundy isn’t from Chicago, he can surely sympathize with our drab weather. The NYC hip hop artist released his debut EP #Waiting today and it oozes bright, colorful arrangement playing under his smooth vocals. It’s witty too. Burgundy fills #Waiting with his commentary about social media (something he’s very involved with) and how nonsensical it all can be. The steady beats on #Waiting get in your head and drive you through its six tracks. The EP’s single “Hey Love!” is filled with chirping birds, delicate chimes, and a thumping bass. Everything adding up to one thing – pure spring music.
